Design for content that matters

Hi — I’m Jana, a designer working at the intersection of editorial, graphic and UX/UI design. I care about how people encounter, understand, and trust what they see and read, especially in environments where context, nuance and clarity matter most.

I’m drawn to work where design supports thoughtful engagement, with room for judgement, curiosity and care. I tend to favour decisions that serve meaningful outcomes over trends or spectacle.

I’m based in Bulgaria, but my work has taken me into international, content-intensive design environments — from the Financial Times to the New Statesman Media Group. My background in linguistics and service design shapes how I think about structure, hierarchy and the way people make sense of information.

Outside of work, I enjoy books, podcasts, documentaries, long drives, and conversations that explore how people interpret the world. I also have a strong interest in visual culture — from typography and tattoos to music and photography.

About me

I am a designer based in Bulgaria.I love typography, squares, negative space, and almost anything black and white. When I'm not designing, I read, write, drive, watch documentaries, listen to podcasts, and talk to people about random and not so random stuff.
