a-specto magazine redesign
a-specto is a Bulgarian political magazine, which was issued monthly between 2014 and 2018.
It was one of the rare truly independent journalistic outlets in the country so I wanted to revive it in the form of a redesigned look and an accompanying website.

This is my master thesis project. My research focused on the intersection between design, ethics and technology by examining the social importance of the design profession in the context of massive technological disruption.
digimags: GlobalData
Digimags or digital magazines are 27 online publications issued by a network of brands under GlobalData's Verdict. This was a complex redesign project which I took on as part of my employment with NSMG/GlobalData. The digimags had an outdated look but content-wise they were a valuable asset under the Verdict brands, and had a dedicated audience of industry professionals and decision-makers.

This is a project I did for one of my master degree classes - editorial design. It's a speculative project about a magazine on the tattoo culture.
About me
I am an editorial designer based in Bulgaria. I love animals, especially cats, tattoos, and almost anything black and white. When I'm not designing, I read, write, drive, watch documentaries, listen to podcasts, and talk to people about random and not so random stuff.
My mission
I'm on a mission to help truly independent journalism get to people in a comprehensive and visually-appealing format, so that they can form their opinions freely and make decisions based on honest and truthful reporting.
What is editorial design?
Simply put, editorial design is the design of magazines, newspapers, books, and other media publications, be it print or digital. In other words, it's the visual representation of journalism and information intended for public use.
